Dr Dovgan has treated my husbands PAD for almost 13 yrs now. Both the Dr and his staff have been so supportive along the way. In all the previous years they call annually to schedule ultrasound and other in office testing to follow his PAD Just last year the blockages became more severe causing more pain and affecting his mobility. Dr. Dovgan was late to all of his appts. But one. One appt. He cancelled as I was walking into his Melbourne office and I had drove over 20 miles. Always excuse of he had an emergency. On day of my surgery they prepped me and had me waiting in surgery and he was 1 hour and 45 minutes late and of course the famous excuse was he had an emergency… the procedure he did on one leg did not work and to this day I’ve had trouble with it it bleeds excessively if I barely touch the vein and it’s been over 3 years since my procedure. I was a first time patient, I checked in and due to not paying my copay because I missed placed my card they refused to see me, that is awful patient care .
Dr. Dovgan provided a diagnosis of my wife, that she was under the threat of a sudden catastrophic, life ending condition. The remedy would include surgery followed by a year of blood thinners as well as the chance that the procedure would not be sufficient to take care of the original problem. When we followed up with the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL, the vascular team was astounded as to why my wife received this medical advice. Great, through staff and easy to talk to Dr. Dovgan
I have had a DVT entire left leg 30 yrs ago. The femoral vein is narrow. I've been found to have May-Thurner's which he denied I had. He removed the superficial saphenous vein, which should NOT have been done knowing the femoral vein was so very narrow. How could I have been so stupid? My thigh is twice the size w/swelling now, b/c with narrow femoral, one needs the saphenous to help it. Very unprofessional, bordering on boorish. The doctor dismissed me because i have allergy's to the medication he wanted me to use to have a test. So after he gets paid for 4 visits he gets rid of you as a client. I would stay far away from him. His staff are first rate in my estimation but he seems to be in it for the money nothing more. seeing as he collected for 4 other visits and even cxled my appointment after i did my 20 miles to his office.
After two different doctors tried 3 attempts to clean out veins on my leg, Dr. Dovgan did a bypass and the leg that had been on the verge of amputation is now receiving good blood circulation and I am able to walk again without so much pain.
I forgot and the best saff very sweet and friendly thank you everyone ??
