My husband went there and stopped going because he had an issue with the radiology doctor, who wasn't sure how much radiation to give him and wouldn't answer any of his questions, so he went to Moffit, while there, he had chemotherapy, one time and was in ICU for 5 days from it. They kept pushing for chemotherapy. So my husband decided to go back to Hinds. He was sarcastic and treating him as he was dirt under his shoes. I've been under Dr. Hinds care for about a year and a half after being transferred to him by a partner urologist. I think it's important that people understand that there is more to this highly technical skill than a bedside manner or reviewing some particular document. I presented for prostate cancer and though my prostatectomy went optimally, I'm still being treated for the metastasis. After radiation and ADT, I'm feeling healthy with many, many sunny days ahead. Was referred to Dr. Hinds from my Urologist Dr. Patel, for a cryogenic prostate procedure. Bottom line, I would avoid any referral to Dr. Hinds. He is quite crude and rude, zero bedside manorism or empathy. He is more suited for selling fruit than being a Doctor, I refer to him as Mr. Personality to my Urologist. BTW, if you are looking for a top notch Urologist, I would suggest Doctor Patel, located in Lakeland, Florida.
Fabulous doctor. A great listener taking the time to answer all my questions. He’s is a compassionate man who cares greatly for the health concerns of his patients.
