I will never be shopping in this store again! What heartless employee would not remain open in order to help save a dog and her puppies!? Shame on you!
How could you not stay 5 extra minutes so a woman with dying puppies at an animal shelter to buy some nutrition to help them? I thought you were in the animal business because you care for animals.
I am a board member with patriots for pets and would just like to say thank you to upper management for rectify a situation that could have been very detrimental to the lives of the mama dog and her puppies.
Very ashamed of the mason city petco! I will never shop there again!! you couldn't stay open an extra 5minutes so patriots could get what they needed for puppies and the mother! You sicken me!! Karma will come back to you one day
I am amazed at the disregard of life for these animals by a member of management of this so called pet store. Now I know why I never went in there! Obviously he or she wasn't trained on the effects of Social Media....It might have been a better MANAGEMENT decision to do the right thing and stay open the 5 extra minutes.
Really, you are in the pet business an you refuse to stay open 5 minutes for an emergency need?? Sad..so sad...Well if is money you want, you won't get mine. As a matter of fact I don't think any PetCo will. You didn't want to stay open..fine..did anyone think to maybe take the product to them...no that would have taken more out of your time. I understand that you have families an things you want to do, I hope that you never need anything from anyone or place in an emergency. Shame on you. A 5 dog owner

I think that is is totally awful and wrong that the staff made the decision to close the store. The staff member should be fired immediately! Unfortunately, this does not look good for the entire store, but we should remember that it was an individual who made the decision, not Petco itself. Shame on you to the staff member that couldn't be bothered to save a mommy and her babies!
