NY is all about the thin crust pizza. This deep dish blew me away! So delicious. The atmosphere is awesome, the staff and service great and the beer was nice and cold. If I ever get back to Chicago I'll be sure to visit again
I doubt anyone will dispute how good the pizza is. it's delicious. the only bad thing was that I had called earlier that day to make reservations for 6 pm. the lady on the phone put me down for 6. when I got there, I told them I had a reservation for 6 and they said that they don't make reservations. i explained that this should have been explained to me earlier on the phone because I probably wouldn't have wasted my time driving all the way from Indiana. Having to wait is usually a good indicator of how great the food is! Pizza is delicious! Pequod's has never disappointed me!
First of all, let me say how much I love the pizza. This place is a Chicago staple for locals and tourists alike (that burnt crust! �). I'd also like to point out I really dislike giving bad reviews because I understand circumstance. It was very busy when we arrived but we were seated after 10 minutes. Frenchy was our server and she is the best we have had since we have been frequenting this place for 2 years. She is friendly and took very good care of us. Our food was hot and delicious.
We were told by our bartender at our hotel that this was the best deep dish and town and she was right. The wait was long - they told us right up front the pizza wouldn't come out for an hour and a half so ordered an appetizer that was out in 10 minutes. There was a long wait for a table so we sat at the bar. Our bartender there took fantastic care of us, was extremely attentive, and the food was great, both appetizers and pizza. Would definitely return!
One of the best pizza spots in Chicago hands down.
