poor management
I do not recommend renting from peppermint, I lasted a year, 50/50 if there is garbage removal as well as snow removal when needed ( it's an extra 125/a month to park)I had to shovel myself in and out of the drive way that all tenants use to avoid a parking ticket due to winter parking ban. For maintenance they wait till there are multiple problems in multiple units before anything is done, I went a week without hot water. I went 2 weeks without a washing machine. Now that I'm coming up on my move out, they have people in an... read more

We were very disappointed in Peppermint Properties. Our daughter's bedroom ceiling leaked from the day she moved in on May 1, 2023, and continued to leak during heavy rain falls. Everytime it leaked, the management company was informed and they "looked into it," but the issue was not resolved until March 2024, a month before her lease was up. We had to file a report with Halifax 's building inspector for them to finally fix the leak.
We probably got lucky with the place 1. Rent signed, and approval was smooth for first place with no previous references and no credit history. 2. Shandelle, the property manager, is extremely helpful and nice. She could manage a lot of things, one of which was that somebody in the building loved to take out laundry from the laundry machine of other tenants. Solved the same day after the call. 3.
