Friendly staff, beautiful location and ambiance. The food ? Well, the calamari apt. is some of the best we've had anywhere. The pasta, sandwiches and salads are all very well done with caring attention to detail. Each plate is presented with an effort to have it be the best you've had, and it shows. Great to have a place like this up the hill. Makes all the fun driving and making a day of it well worth it. Cheers to the staff for another great dinning experience, and weve been coming here for years..
Very good food. The wait is long and the attendant said thirty mins but it felt like more time and I saw she would let people that came after My bf and I first which I was not happy about. I like how they have their own parking because in big bear village that is hard to find.
We had a first rate lunch. The food was excellent and service was very good.
My $30 steak was Raw in the middle when I bit into it. Once they cooked it more it was delicious. Good service and very clean.
I am giving the peppercorn a great rating because when the owner found out of a negative experience my husband and I had in her restaurant, she personally contacted me. When I say she went over and above to correct the issue, it would be an understatement. She was kind throughout the whole ordeal and that is someone who deserves my business. The service was astounding! Our waitress checked up often and we had our drinks refilled plenty. The complaint I have would be the outrageous prices...A dinner for 4 cost us $150, including the tip. I had their pasta and I felt sick from the sauce, even though it's a personal issue I have. The space is pretty small, too. We didn't have much room to eat. The bread and soup tasted really good but I'm not a fan of their pasta. Quite an experience, though.

Every person that we came into contact with was amazing and gave A+ service. The food was exquisite, steak cooked perfectly, and again, the service was amazing. We will definitely return!
I tend to be a bit of a snob when it comes to food critiquing let alone the cleanliness and ambience present in the food industry.
