We purchased a battery for one of our law enforcement vehicles. The battery was bad in less than the three year warranty and left us sitting. Pep boys would not replace the battery or return the money with a receipt even for law enforcement. I would highly recommend buying from another vendor, this one does not stand behind what they sell.
Ordered 4 tires and set an appointment to have them installed. Showed up for my appointment and was told that they didn't order the tires and only had two in stock. I asked them to put the two on and I'd come back when the others were in but was told they were running behind and it would be an hour before they could take my car. I opted not to wait. There was no call or email to let me know that the tires would not be in or that the shop was running late
Had to get towed in off the TP for a tire repair with my company vehicle. Long story short your techs saw I needed a front break job. GREAT heads up by the Exton store on rt 100. Also like the new lug nuts, the outside of them are closed.. .no road grime will get on the threads.
RecommendedJustin is a great asset to your store, he was able to fit me in to get 2 tires replaced when clearly it was super busy...He explained to me my different options and didn’t try and oversell me like most places do...I was on a tight budget and he gave his honest opinion ...The only suggestion would to be have more help at that service desk...Justin was helping 4 different customers and answering the phone all at the same time with a smile on his face and a great attitude...I have worked in customer service for a lot of years a... read more
I was a regular customer a couple of years and I realized that everytime you go there they always do everything in their power to overcharge you. I started going elsewhere. Firs They lost my oil change to Exton lube because of better service and lower cost for same job. I will now look for servicing my car elsewhere too. I took my car for inspection in March and $700 later, they not only didn’t pass my inspection, they didn’t even bother to tell me that. You can’t go there without handing over your wallet to them. I got a flat tire driving back across the state to Pittsburgh and got towed to Pep Boys in Exton. The tow truck technician told them the wrong model of my car and I drive a small compact car with an unusual sized tire, so once we got there the Pep Boys technician saw right away that they'd have to order the special tire. Not only did they go the extra mile calling their vendors to find the right tire, they worked around the clock and we ended up getting the new tire in and on the car by the next day (I broke down at night). ... read more
