The man I dealt with on the phone was pleasant, not sure what happened when my sister & I walked in the store with my baby in my arms.... but I have literally never been treated so rudely and my entire life! He was Furious that I requested a part that was not in a disgustingly dirty, opened box.... with a hole in it, and the contents that were supposed to be sealed in a bag were ripped open. As evident of their 2.7/5 score, please don't make the same mistake as me and do some research on local places. This place didn't install my timing belt properly, causing the belt to slowly shred and tear shortly after. A "brand" new belt. This caused my engine to seize up and basically ruin my car. As if this isn't bad enough the manager Ed has talked disrespectful to my wife who is doing most of the communicating because of my work schedule, refuses to look at the car or speak with my mechanic. Second year in a row these guys failed my state inspection. Last year, there was nothing wrong with my Jeep. This year, it was for a twisted brake line. My front brakes were replaced in 2015. So, why was this not caught before now? Then, they wanted to remove and replace the brake line and bleed the lines for $200. There was nothing wrong with the brake line that was there other than it being twisted. I left, took the car to my brother, and he had it fixed in 5 minutes without having to remove the line. Thank you VERY much to the folks at the Mechanicsburg Pep Boys! They helped me out today when my vehicle was towed there after getting a flat tire. My spare was flat as well and they re-inflated it at no charge and let me get back on the road quickly. THANK YOU!!
