After making an appointment I was told it would be an hour for an oil change. There was a gentleman there who had been waiting 3 hours for an alignment. They weren't busy, plenty of employees there, but it still took them 40 minutes to even pull my car into the bay that had been empty since I got there. It seemed to me that the employees were more concerned with goofing off than actually working. LOTS of standing around. There's still kind people in this world. I noticed the van making that I need oil ping and I checked it and it didn't even register on the stick. Went to Pep-Boys since I was right by them seeing the Dr. The charge was $20 for oil and coolant and I was reluctant and they noticed (been out of work a year) told them I just had breast cancer surgery and couldn't carry the coolant. My mother had a Terrible experience at Pep boys auto parts. Requested a Simple oil change , and they forgot to tighten the cap on both the top and the bottom. Her car was leaking oil and she Had to go back after 2 days. don't trust them. Non apologetic, and unprofessional. FYI Their sign has the wrong hours of operation, stating they're on open Saturday at 7:00am...Which never happens and you have to wait outside until 830a. This Pep boys is at the corner of F and 24th street in Bakersfield. �
Got towed there due to a battery and alternator issue. The got new one in fairly quickly. It was expensive but worth having my car back
