Our family has used Pep Boys in East Town for years for our oil changes and other services for all our vehicles. Recently my daughter had her oil change and requested a brake inspection, they said all the brakes were fine, 2 weeks later her brakes completely failed and all the brakes, rotors and calipers had to be replaced. There were no brake pads left, just metal scrapping on metal which ruined the rotors and calipers. They will never get our business again.
My mother took her car here. The problem was a starter relay. These people will try to replace every part on your car, unnecessarily. The employees have no Morales. They have no problem charging someone $1400, when it would only take $138 to fix it. I left my number for the manager to call me, I have yet to hear from him, imagine that. I wouldn't let this poor excuse for a business, check my tire pressure. Save your money people and find a HONEST mechanic.
I went to get my oil changed herelast week and while they told me I had a small oil leak the next day I just so happened to have a flat tire and noticed my car had a very bad oil leak while I was changing the tire. I haven't taken it back because I'm scared they will make it worse and I don't have the money to have it fixed if they were to try and make me pay for their mistake. I am very displeased in this service and if my car breaks down I won't have a way to school or work.
Don't go to Pep Boys ! I was going to spend $50 on Weather Tech floor mats and the cashier was rude when I asked if someone could help me install them (since they are cut to fit) and she said she would ask & she came back & said BOTH managers said NO they don't help out with that ?! Wow ! No customer service here & I'll take my money somewhere else !! Looks bad on Pep Boys !!!
