Got two new tires at pep boys round lake with an alignment about 2 weeks ago, took my car for an oil change at my dealership last week and they told me I needed an alignment. Went back to pep boys with my receipt and paper from dealership showing I needed an alignment. Was told I would be next to get my realignment, comes back and says there’s 3 cars ahead of me. I asked for a refund and decides to put my car next. Never coming to pep boys again!!!!

Scheduled an appointment online 2 days ago for today at 7 to check my AC. Called and verified the appointment yesterday. Showed up today after driving over an hour in to get there to just be told that their technician left at 5 and there was nothing they could do and that they never have AC technicians there after 5. Why did I not get a call and was confirmed for my appointment. Never going to go to pep boys again or recommend them. Very poor customer service.
3.5 HOURS FOR FOUR TIRES! They said they couldn't air up the tires. They had to call in other guys to do it. As a business that claims they are a tire professional you would think that they have experienced seating a stubborn bead a time or two. The little bit I saved wasn't worth ruining my one day off. For my troubles I received a free oil change card, but do I dare? Maybe if I have 2-3 hours to spare. Never again.
I went to Pep Boys service dept. because of a coolant leak. I pointed out to the service manager the leak in the heater control valve. Pep boys did a dye test even though I pointed where the leak was. They said it needed all new heater hoses, a heater hose assembly, heater hose connection and with the other expenses, it came up to almost $400. They do good work they get the job done fast and at reasonable prices.
I wish there was less then one star! Never again! Made an appointment online for an oil change at 10:00am today. They had every time slot open when it was made the night before. I said customer WAITING! Today it was packed and my oil change took 1 hour and 40 minutes bc they took walk in people instead of sticking to appointments!!! My truck sat outside until I asked if it was done!! Customer waiting means nothing to them but thank you so much for the " your car is ready to pick up" EMAIL!!! I was sitting there!!!!
