I recently purchased a used truck from Penske and had a terrible experience. After only one week, the check engine light came on and I scheduled an appointment with Penske to have it checked out. They diagnosed the truck and found many codes, including an ABS sensor cargo wiring problem and back lights wiring issues. Man I wish I would've done my due diligence and researched buying from Penske. My 1st sign should've been noticing the lack of communication AS AN EMPLOYEE of Penske Logistics. Apparently I'm just naive. I purchased a used 2014 Freightliner Cascadia 125 from Penske used trucks here in Ohio in April of 2020. I asked to come look at the vehicle and was told it was still out being used by a customer and they would have to get it back off the road. When the truck made it back I asked to be able to look at and possibly test drive it but was told that wasn't how it worked. Gave a deposit on a truck only to find out the truck was rented out the next day ! Sales person Alex and his boss Kevin immediately ghosted me, NO return calls, NO return emails. I am currently getting my lawyer involved because I believe that this is some sort of criminal act (bait and switch). I am also reorting this to the BBB. Where to begin to explain my experience about Penskes truck sales… If I could give zero stars I would.. I am an out of state buyer.. I called to inquire about about a unit they had for sale, they had on there lot at the Earth, MO location. My sales rep was Alexa Troutman. We purchased used a truck from the West Sacramento location on 06/19/20 and still have not received the title yet.....I called the headquarter multiple times and everytime I call they all promise to find out what's taking long and call me back however none of them called back with any update, today is 08/20/20, that marks 2 months.
