Very disappointed! I booked my wedding 10 months in advance. Had my trial, and loved my hair and makeup. But my wedding was in December out of town, and I was worried about travel. I was assured they would be there. The night before my wedding, it started to snow. I got a TEXT saying they probably wouldn't be there. If i could give this a zero, i would. I called over a month in advance and scheduled a makeup appt for Saturday at 10. Got to the parlor at 930, it was closed. I checked online, said they were open 9am-7pm. Came back at 945, stayed until 1010 and called 3 times, calls went to voicemail, so i left a message stating i had an appt. I checked this place out as I was in town visiting my Grandma and wanted to get my hair blown out for dinner at the club that night! They were so friendly and took their time and my hair looked amazing! If I lived in Des Moines I'd definitely be a regular!
My bridesmaids and I had our makeup and hair done at Penelopie for my wedding and well, they went above and beyond! We received so many compliments. They are talented, welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. If you're ever thinking about getting your hair or makeup done please go to Penelopie!
I don't even know where to start with this company! They have the most amazing staff who are so inviting and knowledgeable of their services and products. Their "art" of make-up, hair, eyelashes, etc. is beyond belief. I told Kathleen what I envisioned for my hair and she made it happen! My hair was absolutely perfect and everything I had in mind! It was even better than I could have ever imagined! I am usually pretty picky with my makeup and always go home to fix it afterwards. I told Bopha what I wanted and she was sure to ask how things were looking along the way.
