I have read other reviews, but our experience was vastly different. We asked and received the quote, easily and timely. Our sales rep took plenty of time to explain our options based on what we wanted, with no pressure, and had a solid estimate before he left. We were given ample time to make a decision and once we decided we were able to set a date for the final measurements that met our schedules. Bought a door from a very nice salesman who promised the moon and delivered a moonpie. Said he would be out to help remove the trim. He wasn't. 12 hours before our scheduled install (literally the night before), we were told our appointment would have to be cancelled because of manufacturing delays. I ripped the trim off my door and have exposed studs... When are we getting a door?! "No clue. We'll call when we have an update." WHAT THE ****** Went to Home Depot to by Tyvek. Good product, frustrating customer service experience. Wrong measurements taken twice plus the agent forgot to place an order on time! Not even mentioning the delays in installation! Be aware of how time consuming this can be for you and stay away!! I m giving 1 star for a product and 0 for everything else.
My goodness! I should have come to this site before actually purchasing Pella replacement windows. I see they like to advertise they've been in business 95 years. Apparently they used to be a good company with a great reputation but that's gone "out the window"....sorry, couldn't resist. We met with the Lowe's Pella rep, who came to the house, in Sept. Wish I could give less than 1 star to this company. Started off when we went to the showroom to see some examples of patio door styles - I believe there was one or two to look at, until someone told us they were old styles. So we made an appointment with a salesman, who rescheduled our appointment not once, but 3X! He assured us, multiple times, that our Pella install would be SEAMLESS - rarely an issue/problem. Forgive me if at 71 years old, I am old fashioned. When a representative of a company such as Pella arrives at my home in response to a warranty issue, I expect some common courtesy. I expect them to look me in the eye, smile, introduce themselves, show me a business card, a company ID card with a picture and explain the reason for their visit. Poor quality of product. Distributors have no idea about products and assemblies. They sold me the window system without any explanation and now I have awfully looking window in family room. Apparently, the sales rep didn't know that systems can be combined. The contractors they provide have no idea about the Pella installation specs. And it is questionable if Pella's manufacturer warranty is still intact. Such a disappointment! I scheduled a consultation for a window replacement. After waiting at home for over three hours past the appointment time, I decided that apparently Pella was not interested in my business. I know that "stuff" happens, but no call, no text? Very disappointing. Would suggest avoid doing business with this company.
On 6/28/19 I went online to get replacement parts for my windows. On 7/2/19 my concern was redirected to Pella Northland (PN). Quote from PN on 7/8/19 for replacement parts. Had a few questions so messaged back/forth until 7/17/19 when I indicated that I was ready to mail payment for the parts & asked for address. On 7/18/19, PN said they wanted a picture of the signed contract & then would contact me for credit card payment.
