I had my car towed by mistake on January X XXXX from Southwest Auto Tow which is housed within the storage company Peak Auto Storage. I was told by my apt office that I had until the 14th to get my registration handled as it was expired and that I was put on the hold tow list. Southwest Auto Tow came and towed my car anyway. I had no way to get to work the next day so I missed 4 hours of pay because I had to get a ride to Peak Auto Storage to get my vehicle. I waited over 1 hour in line and finally got my car. The tow system does not indicate management placed this vehicle on the hold tow list. Vehicle was given warning of tow 16 days before the vehicle was towed. If you spoke with your property management staff they did not inform the tow company of the extension. In accordance with the towing rules and regulations set by TDLR this is a valid and legal tow. We are sorry to hear you did not have an optimal experience at the storage facility. The facility is understaffed and doing their best.
