I chose Dr. McClelland after several weeks of extensive research. Very happy I did. Always treated well by his team. Financial department needs more staff or larger voicemail boxes though.

I had a thumb fracture due to a cycling accident recently and received excellent care from Dr. Walter McClelland and his staff. They were able to schedule my surgery in time for me to be up and running again for a long-distance bike ride 7 weeks later and helped me through pre- and post-op with excellent care and thoughtful guidance. Dr. McClelland is a highly knowledgeable and kind surgeon with very good beside manners. I always felt like I was very good hands and feel deeply grateful to him.

I had had a hip replaced in another state and loved my orthopedic surgeon there. After living in Atlanta a little while, I needed to have a different joint replaced. I didn’t think I would be able to replicate my previous experience (find a really skilled surgeon who was also kind, listened, was patient, had great support staff) and so was apprehensive. Then I was lucky enough to stumble across Dr. McClelland. In my first appointment I knew I would be OK. I can’t recommend him enough.

Dr McClelland is fantastic and I can't recommend him enough! I broke an elbow (requiring surgery), a wrist and ruptured a tendon (requiring a second surgery) in an accident and he has done a great job putting me back together! He is truly gifted at what he does. Further, he is without a doubt the kindest, most caring doctor I have even been to. His bedside manner, both in the office and in the operating room, is outstanding. I was 100% at ease from the moment I met him.

Dr McClelland was amazing. Had to have surgery due to an injury and had time constraints due to my schedule. He was accommodating and honest. Definitely a straight shooter with great bedside manner. Could not recommend him enough.

First went to a different doc for shoulder pain. He prescribed medicine, no help. Tried a shot, no help. Had an MRI, and he wanted to operate. Went to Dr. McClelland for 2nd opinion. He said he thought at age 78, I might do better with a conservative approach. He studied my MRI, gave me an injection (in the right place this time), and advised 10 physical therapy sessions. I am now pain-free and can't thank Dr. McC enough for his competence and kindness.

I would recommend Dr. McClellan to anyone. I met with him for a second opinion for a possible infected joint in my finger. He diagnosed the issue, was aggressive it treatment and resolved the problem. There was never a "let's wait and see" approach. I appreciate that almost more than having the pain and issue resolved! His team is top flight. The surgical team was phenomenal. If you have an issue, especially with your hands, this is your first choice.
