The front desk staff is awful! If I hadn't prepaid for the treatment, I would never come back! It doesn't matter how good the Dr is if his employees are rude and indifferent. I do NOT recommend this practice!
I've been a patient of Dr. Ruff for over four years. I've found him to be warm, honest, and conservative in his recommendations. I am in my mid-40s and, with his help, look like myself just refreshed (w/out surgery). I definately look better, but not fake. My friends just assumed I am just REALLY happy w/my new job. Dr. Ruff is amazing! I have had 3 procedures done: Laser Hair Removal, Scar Revision, & VASER Lipo. My major issue was my inner thighs. I was so self-conscious about it that I refused to wear shorts, or even a bathing suit. I didn't feel sexy or even beautiful. After 6 months of deliberation, I decided to do it. I had a breast reduction with Dr. Ruff two and half months ago. I am very pleased with the results! I went from a 32 FF to a full B/small C. I was expecting to be in a lot of pain immediately following the surgery and for the following days because I have a low pain threshold. However, my pain was minimal and I was able to switch from pain killers to ibprophen within a couple days. I believe my low pain was because Dr. Ruff is such a skilled suregon. After several years and spending thousands of dollars trying to correct this doctor's work, I'm almost back to looking the way I did prior to having surgery with Dr. Ruff.
I first met Dr. Ruff back in October 2009 when I was invited by my friend to an event his practice held called “Wrinkle Erase”. I’m in my mid-thirties and have thought about Botox in the past but never had the nerve to get it done but since it was a charitable event where all the proceeds benefit breast cancer research I thought why not. I have seen Dr. Ruff twice for Botox treatments, and both have been very dissappointing. The first was a "Botox Party" organized by a friend at Dr. Ruff's office after hours. I had 28 units (at $280) with no effect. I did not return at the 6 month interval, but decided to try again at another "Botox Party" this time at my friend's condo a year later. The office is run very efficiently and I have never waited for longer than 10 minutes. I had two procedures done by Dr. Ruff, and I am very pleased with both. He is professional, warm, courteous, knowledgeable and excellent technically. I had seen two other plastic surgeons for consults before choosing Dr. Ruff. He was head and shoulders above the other doctors with respect to punctuality and responsiveness to my questions and concerns. I would recommend him to anyone.
First, prepared to wait a long time in the waiting room even if you have the first appt of the day. More important: I had a minor procedure done, which did not give the results Dr Ruff promised because I could barely detect a difference in my appearance (better than looking worse than pre-surgery, I grant you). No one on staff called to see how I was the next day, which seemed careless but since the procedure was a minor fat transfer, I let this lapse go.
