I had a stent after my surgery and this was not easily tolerated. However the staff at Dr Jo's office were very patient and answered all questions in a timely manner. Excellent team of professionals.
From my first visit with Dr Jo, I was very impressed with his knowledge about the Medtronic Interstem. After a weekend trial test with the product I proceeded with the permanent procedure based on my confidence in Dr Jo. I would highly recommend Dr Jo to any of my friends that find themselves in need of a Urologist in the Ocala area. Thanks to Dr Jo and his professional staff.
Dr. Jo combines evident clinical skill with tremendous warmth and compassion. He is precisely what one wishes to find in a doctor's treatment of patients: experience, expertise, and genuine concern for the individual in front of him.
tries to shift blame onto patient, and does not accept that something went wrong. had 10mm stone went for lithotripsy which dr assured me they would smash it up in little pcs. got very ill and went to ER and found that I still have my stone but is now 8mm. tried to ask dr why and he went defensive saying I didn't listen, and sometimes it doesn't work as well, and there was a great risk of blowing up my kidney. none of this was said post-op.

Very unprofessional. Does not spend time with the patient. Just "bend over for an exam (which took two seconds) and then thank you, make another appt." Also an hour late in seeing me. Tried to call the office for 3 days and was told to call back during office hours. Very strange as I DID CALL DURING OFFICE HOURS. Managed to cancel next appt by calling a different office when I was told Dr. Jo was on vacation. Why not put this on your recording? Would never recommend him.
Dr. Jo is the very best in this area or in my book, anywhere in the world, kind, caring, extremely knowledgeable. Five stars in every aspect of his practice, from the warm office staff,to the caring nurses, and Dr. Jo himself with such a comforting manor. He will make sure you understand what needs to be done and tells you why. He makes you feel safe and secure and you know you will be taken care of before, during and after any procedure that is done. "KUDDO'S DR. JO, keep up the great work!"
Excellent care and doctor. Complete surgery using newest method that made the situation easier during the surgery and after the surgery.
Dr Jo has been honest and straight forward with me since I started using him as my Urologist. Over the years he and is staff have been straight forward and honest with me, an exceptional team.
