Hard to get an appt w Dr Hogan. Likely to see Nurse practitioner as opposed to actual dr. When u r seen by dr hogan. It’s a quick short rushed visit . Gotten to be more like assembly line treatment, After 20 plus years leaving.
Dr Hogan is the best family Dr. in Tallahassee! I saw several others before and have been with Dr Hogan for 15 years or more. She takes very good care of me (a diabetic) and my family members (my husband has afib, copd & other health problems) see her & the others at her office and have received careful, caring help with our health!! I highly recommend her even though she isn’t taking new patients because she’s so good she’s full!!
Dr. Hogan has been my family doc for about 16 years. She has taken care of me, my husband, my mother, my adult son, and my granddaughter. My family has always been able to get a timely appointment. There is less than 5 minutes wait time from appointment time and rarely is there "alone time" in the exam room. My family depends upon her and has full confidence in her care.
I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS DRS OFFICE! Called for a new patient appt because my drs retirement and was treat AWFUL by the staff all in Hogan’s name ! They were downright RUDE .. started off by saying she would not give pain medication.. well that’s fine I don’t need that I need a dr .. do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.
Highly disappointed & do not recommend. I’m always seen by a PA or ARNP for annual visits in Dr. Hogan’s office & seldom the same person. I’ve never been able to get an appt. when ill. For urgent appointments, I’m directed to CHP Urgent Care. Dr. Hogan has twice failed to order the correct lab work for my annual labs resulting in me having to repeat fasting bloodwork on both occasions. Highly unprofessional. The office is clean & office staff friendly. My new MD is a breathe of fresh air.
I have been a customer for many years, but I only have been seen by Dr. Hogan twice or three times, as I usually see her NPs. My experience with her NPs has been OK, and that is why I continued to go to her office. However, during my last visit, I had to see Dr. Hogan, instead of one of her NPs. My experience with her was very unpleasant; not only I was seen about 40 minutes after my appointment time, but she was rude and condescending.
I'm shocked at some of the reviews given Dr. Hogan. I've been seeing her since she first started her practice and I have never felt any rudeness and she always listens and goes way beyond to figure out my problems. She does not give out pills to cover the pain, she gets the problem figured out instead and then prescribes medication or therapy.
Dr. Hogan spent the appointment accusing me of not knowing how to take my meds correctly, then telling me she felt sorry for her patients who I was at fault for holding them up. Accused me of not having labs and how this was a problem for her. Then found recent labs, no apology given. Would not let me hardly get a word in, told me I was disputing a doctor. Opened the door up 3 different times during our short visit talking loudly while saying I have way too many probs. chuckled on her way out.
Dr. Hogan's APRNs are good; i find them helpful, understanding and professional. Dr. Hogan herself has been, on several occasions, far too busy or unconcerned to listen and understand the issues or questions I have. She appears to greet these questions as challenges and/or personal attacks. Her response is dismissive and/or belittling and sarcastic. I would be more specific but I am afraid that she would identify me and there would be repercussions. That fear, in itself, indicates problems
