I had an appointment today for a six-month cleaning that was performed by Dr. Valentina Yasinsky. During her examination, she discovered two cavities that she said she could take care at this time. I appreciate her professionalism and the excellent care that I have experienced over the last eight years.
I have been coming to Geary Dental for several years and have always had excellent care from Dr.Yasinsky and her associates. She is highly skilled in her profession and very personable. Her dental assistants and receptionist are always very pleasant. I highly recommend Geary Dental.
Dr. Pastel recommended many unnecessary interventions and diagnosed non-existent cavities, which included cavity fillings, x-rays, and periodontal cleaning. I went for a second opinion after his diagnoses were very inconsistent with past dentists. I was told that I have no cavities and no evidence of gum disease. Beware of non-evidenced based and money grubbing care.
Valentina is a neighbor, and I heard of her work for years on NextDoor. She is thorough, not pushy. She struck me as honest, she knew that I do care a lot about aesthetics and recommended some less harsh alternatives for whitening my teeth. With respect to her thoroughness, she noticed old fillings, and I have one crown that was poorly done and she was very comprehensive, I felt like she treated my mouth like a home and did an honest inspection.
