I have several serious medical conditions that are expensive to treat, and I really wouldn't know what to do if I didn't have Passport. I'd never be able to afford the medications, let alone the rest of the medical bills, and I feel very fortunate that these people are there to help me. From the 24 hour nurse helpline, to the monthly calls just to make sure I'm ok, I couldn't ask for a better insurance company than the one I now have!
The FIND A DOCTOR function on their website is totally useless. On my latest search if came up with thirty-three separate results -- all for exactly the same provider -- and, of course, all NOT taking new patients. Fat lot of good those listings do!
The worst company to participate with from a provider standpoint. Manuals do not provide accurate information, claims are not paid in a timely fashion or within the guidelines set forth by KY state law. New processing system issues still used as an excuse for claims processing issues. Providers are required to have policies in place for unforeseen events this company should also have a policy in place for such events, which in this case would be other means of processing claims in the event their “new” system has issues. Spent over 90 minutes on the phone trying to check on the status of a claim. If this were a private company, they would pay such severe penalties for not meeting their metrics that they'd lose the contract after the first quarter. And the messages on the IVR turn off and on at random, leaving me to wonder if someone hasn't put me on mute and then bumped me on to the next representative.
Passport is not paying any of my claims. When my billing company has called numerous times, they say they have a new system and the claims should be paid. I've never had this problem before. I also moved my office and it took them 5 months to change my address. 2 months to add the Suite number after having the right street address even though the Suite number was on all the change of address forms correct from the start. U can't even get intouch with them u til Monday. That is crazy. I need to talk to them now for to Check on my insurance.
