Parks Old Style Bar-B-Q was founded in May, 1964 by Edward "Terry" Parks, a former postal worker and entrepreneur and Verna Parks, a Detroit Public Schools counselor, as a sole proprietorship. The Company was incorporated in November, 1977. The Parks' purchased the property at 500 Custer St. and built the building that is now known as 7444 Beaubien St. The building has been enlarged and evolved into its current configuration. The best BBQ sauce and ribs. I wish I could order the sauce in a gallon jug.

Grew up on Parks back when it was Young's BBQ!! I talked about these Ribs at Tennessee State and referred to em as TRUE Detroit Style BBQ because no other place in my travels matched the flavor!! Been home since 2009 but today I finally feel home!!!
Tips were awesome...fries hot an crisp. CAKE was moist Red Velvet, it was good. I'm happy saved the rest for my son!
