Parks Old Style Bar-B-Q was founded in May, 1964 by Edward "Terry" Parks, a former postal worker and entrepreneur and Verna Parks, a Detroit Public Schools counselor, as a sole proprietorship. The Company was incorporated in November, 1977. The Parks' purchased the property at 500 Custer St. and built the building that is now known as 7444 Beaubien St. The building has been enlarged and evolved into its current configuration. My FAMILY HAVE BEEN PATRONIZING PARK'S BBQ SINCE THEY HAVE BEEN USING BUTCHER WRAPPING PAPER, I HAVE HA SOME BAD RBS, HAD SOME OF THE BEST TASTING RIBS, BT YESTERDAY WAS THE WORST.!!THEY WERE NOT FRESH, THEY WERE DET AMD HARD WHERE THEY HAVE BE WARMED OVER.. I PURCHASED A SLAB, I DID CALL, I WAS TOLD TO BRING THEM BACK. THEY ARE IN MY FRIDGE NOW. WHEN EVER I COME BACK TO DETROIT, THEY WLL HAVE THEM!! AND FROM NOW ON, I WILL HAVE THEM SHOW M MY RIB .!!
Parks Bar-B-Que not only has excellent food;...but the service is courteous, quick,...and efficient. I recommend this fine restaurant/take out business to anyone enjoying great soul food !
We drive across town at least 4 times or more to get the BBQ LOVE It.
It's just sum of the best bbq in michigan..have loved it for years
