My late husbands service was held there. It's very gothic looking. I was new to South Carolina only 6 months. Was recommended a Pastor, Michael Crocker to hold the service. At the time he was the pastor at North Trident Baptist. I became a member and had a lot of faith in the Pastor. After 2 years I met a very nice gentleman and we were engaged for 4 years. Everyone at Parks is absolutely wonderful! Ms. Katelyn is in a league of her own! We went in there in January 2019 to make pre arrangements for my mom who unexpectedly got sick and only had 2-3 months left, as soon as Ms. Katelyn seen my dad she remembered him from Dec 2017, after talking to us she allowed us to look at the vaults and coffins as a family, she didn't stay in there and hover over us trying to upsell items, and she was ALWAYS available to answer any questions. Parks did a fantastic job on my father. They were extremely helpful and very respectful. All of my father's last wishes were granted. The staff made this difficult time for us so easy. We were Blessed to have them help us give my father the best funeral ever.
the fact that it has been a family owned/run business for so many years. Even today, it is still owned and run by the Parks children...John B Parks III (Johnny), James B. Parks (Bo), and Paula Parks Wicker. Generation after generation, they have provided empathy, sympathy, compassion, and dignity to all they have served.
Our family has used Parks for three generations. They treat everyone with such care and kindness. My family gives our thanks.
