Best breakfast EVER! – Whenever my friend asks if I want to go to breakfast with him I don?t even bother asking where we are going, it?s always the Paradox. It?s amazing and anyone who doesn?t think so is out of their mind. I usually get the #3 (which you get $1 off if you are there before 10 during the week) with tofu, French toast, and potatoes crispy .He usually gets #2 curry style. I also love the artichoke dip. yumm......! – i am always on the lookout for yummy vegetarian food and have never been let down at paradox. the service was always nice; easy going but still on top of it! i enjoy the cozy feel of the place, the portions of the food, and the price. yeah, finding the bathroom was weird, but who cares!?
Love the food not so much the service – Good Vegan French Toast!!! Love the Biscuits and Almond Gravy, Vegan Chili is good times! HOWEVER Lighten UP! I make a really long trip to get to Paradox but after continious cranky servers it makes you think twice!! During one visit I watched as the staff here stood around and made fun of some customers who had just come in and didnt know that it was a seat yourself joint. awesome vegan french toast – great service, great food...I am constantly happy with the food here. If you are vegan or vegetarian or looking for organic fare go eat at the Paradox.
very vegan friendly – the paradox is now under new ownership (as is Vita)...and i can confidently say that paradox has come out on top. i was just there this morning and they have added a bunch of new stuff to the menu, and i believe all of the new dishes were vegan. their prices are still the same (unlike the increase at Vita), and the food is great. tons of awesome vegan comfort food, and almost all of the non-vegan dishes can be made vegan upon request. hopefully the new owners realized the dedicated vegan following they ... read more
It's all right... – I like the fact that it's a vegetarian restaurant in a convenient location. However, the food tastes better and fresher at "Blue Moose" on 4936 NE Fremont St. Portland OR 97213. Give it a try, you'll know what I mean!
Vegan & Vegetarian Heaven! – I just ate at Paradox and it was great! I came to check out the reviews and was especially shocked to see a dis to the veggies! THey were as close to perfect as I have ever eaten. I am sold on the freshness of this food and have taken quite a few friends in and they love it too. They met all of my picky requests and always have everthing just the way I want it! bad vegan vegies – I used to come here from out of town just for the tofu and potatoes.... the tofu picks up the salty flavors of the fried potatoes... awsome dish. But now I live right around the corner and have been here a couple of times. I've tried different menu options to stay away from the greesy (but so yummy) potatoes... but I become more and more dissappointed with each new item I order. Paradox is Paradise – This place is now part of our weekly routine. Their smoothies, vegan french toast, haystack sandwich, vegan mac and cheese, and most of their breakfast menu is amazing!! I would steer clear of the tempeh rueben, but it might've just had an off day when i ordered it. You can't fail with this place!! The waitstaff is always nice.
