If I could give this company zero starts it would still be too generous. We moved into a rental house with an Amerigas propane tank. It took us over a week to get our account set up and two weeks later we still don't have a firm delivery date for our tank fill. Call wait times are easily over 90 mins, but their system hangs up on you after about an hour and 15 mins in and you have to start all over again. Unable and unwilling to make deliveries. Despite repeated calls and a propane tank verging on empty, no response, no deliveries, and broken promises by customer reps on the telephone to have supervisors call us. Stay away, and change now if you are with them. UGI bought Amerigas out in whole and is in utter chaos. Can't manage or serve the customers anymore.
Zero Stars. Avoid this company. This company has been astoundingly unreliable. Even before Covid it was difficult to reach anyone.. and talk about empty promises! No one ever calls you back. You get charged late fees while you await communication with the company. When we initially had the tank filled, my stepson literally had to take DAYS off of work in order for someone to be here, because we would be told we would get our delivery, and then no one would show up... over and over and over. If we could give 0 stars we would. As per other reviewers, we recently switched to another company that was almost a dollar cheaper per gallon. Amerigas had no interest in retaining us as customers, and was completely unwilling to even match or reduce their rates. We happily switched companies, and have been waiting over two weeks for a response to our email to pick up one of their remaining tanks. We have, however, received the tank rent bill. Amerigas is in utter disarray after being taken over in whole by UGI. They are unable to provide delivery of propane, even for those on an "expedited" schedule. Our tank is bottoming out and we can't even get on a future schedule list. Their supervisors do not return phone calls, even when promises for them to do so are given by the company's telephone answering service personnel.
TERRIBLE customer service. I have been trying to get my propane delivered for 2 WEEKS. Every day passes and we still have ZERO propane. My house is 48 degrees and I have 2 YOUNG children. They say it's not an "emergency" so they cannot expedite my propane and give me a day of when they will be there but NEVER show up. I am FED up. I have already paid for my propane and do not have it. I will be contacting my bank for fraud if they do not deliver my propane TODAY.
Amerigas is a horrible company. I contacted them on Monday for a propane delivery to my house and agreed to pay $300.00 since I have elderly parents living with me. They told me they would be out that Monday. I get home Monday and have no propane. Call again on Tuesday and they state they will be out on Tuesday. Get home and still no propane. Is this company still in business? Any number I call gets a voice-mail. Customer service is non existent. If I could give them less than one star I would. Do yourself a favor, dont do business with them.
I have not been able to talk to anyone in the local office for several months. I understand that the COVID-19 hysteria is causing some difficulties but 2 months is a bit much. Currently I've been on hold listening to bad music for 1 hr and 23 minutes.
