Best king crab I've had in a long time! Drove from Kansas City to visit Dallas area for the weekend, and stumbled apon this gem. I highly recommend this place.... we had gator....catfish....stuffed crab.... catfish....king crab. Good times.
Last night, my parents brought me here for dinner. I heard great things about this restaurant and the menu looked amazing. Unfortunately, the service was sub par. After waiting an hour for our food, we finally got served. I spoke with a manager explaining that I understand it's busy but this is unacceptable. He said this was the first he heard about this and apologized. Our server was supposed to get him but I guess she was too busy and forgot. My 25 plus year love affair with pappadeauxs has come to a screeching halt. Was denied service after 5 beers over the course of 3+ hours eating with my family. Judgement call by manager with no legitimate explanation. Disappointed is an understatement. People around me were questioning what was going on as well. The best I could surmise was we came in at happy hour and went into dinner rush and hadn’t ran up enough of a tab and the bartender vinny was done. Granted it was a Saturday night and we had a large party, but it was a friend's birthday and we made a reservation. The service was slow and inconsistent. Some friends got their food while others waited and a few of the dishes were cold. So many friends were in such a foul mood that it put a damper on the birthday celebration. I would never suggest taking a large group to Pappadeaux again. It was a really bad experience.

Originally from Houston, for the past 20 years my family has frequently come together to dine at Pappadeux’s and not just Pappadeux. We support all of the Pappas Restaurants- including Ya Ya Mary’s whenever we get back home! In that time- we received the worst dining experience ever at this location today. As of right now, we have been here since 4:30 for a reservation they were not prepared for to celebrate my nieces birthday � and we still have not received our entrees. One of the better seafood eateries in the area. Food is always fresh and tasty, service is always professional.
Sat at the bar for 15 minutes. Two different bar tenders stopped and asked us whet we wanted as we went to tell them they got distracted and never came back. They both went and served other people. They lost money today.
