WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH FOR VACATION RENTALS!!! I rented a condo and THEY DID NOT CONTACT ME TO LET ME KNOW THERE WAS MAJOR CONSTRUCTION HAPPENING AT THIS COMPLEX. THERE WAS HAMMERING, SAWING, DUMPERSTER EVERYWHERE, LUMBER LAYING EVERYWHERE AND ALL THE PARKING WAS BEING USED BYTHE CONSTRCUTION COMPANY. NEVER USE THIS AGENCY!!!! I rented through VRBO but the property was hosted through Panhandle Getaways. I was not informed there was MAJOR construction at the property I was renting. NO ONE CONTACT ME IN ADVANCE TO LET ME KNOW. When we arrived, I called them, and the agent Sandy basically called me a liar and said the property is not understand construction but I have the photos to PROVE... We booked Room 1009 at Calypso Resort Tower III through Panhandle Getaways (PG) and paid them upfront for 6 nights (6/21/2023 - 6/27/2023) via direct debit to avoid the 3.5% credit card convenience fee. On Friday 6/23, around 3pm, I was falsely accused of throwing ice from our 10th story balcony into the pool area. In reality, I just came back from the gym to our room and was waving at my wife (who is 21 weeks pregnant) and boys (5 and 7) below at the hot tub area right by the pool while talking with them on the phone. Unit did not have a working dishwasher and the electrical outlets did not function in the bathrooms. Property Management refused to move us to a unit that was functioning when I requested to be moved after their technician was not able to resolve the issue when given a full day to attempt to fix the issues. Would not recommend renting through this company.

, Calypso Tower II, 706W. Condo nice, clean, but not worth $2500 for a week rental for 3 adults. Watch out for all the extra added/hidden fees—you are charged extra if paying by credit card, then you pay a registration fee, reservation fee, any kind of extra fee you can think of including wrist band fee, a cleaning fee, plus you have to pay to park!! We recently stayed at Panama City Beach, it was beautiful. However our booking agent "Panhandle Getaways" wasn't. About 2 weeks before arrival we were informed that they were painting our balcony, so we called and were told that ours was done. But it wasn't. So for 3 of our 4 weeks it was unusable, that was one of the reasons we took that condo. From talking to other guests, they knew almost a year in advance that this was going to be painted. We have been going to Destin for over 40 years and this was one of the worst places we have ever stayed at. We were not told in advance that Pelican Beach would be having a property improvement project going on for the entire 19 story building starting in Sept 2022 till May of 2023 and were especially not told they would start right outside our unit# 111.
