I came to Dr. Ruffer suffering with depression following the sudden death of my wife. A previous therapist had helped me deal with the immediate trauma and anxiety, but I was struggling to cope with life alone. Dr. Ruffer listened to my history, asked insightful questions, and began to offer suggestions for changing my daily behavior. With her guidance, I set goals to be more outgoing and involved with people. Her approach was gentle, encouraging, and persistent; she knew when to provide a gentle shove. Over a few weeks my t... read more

After dealing with my spouse's addiction for nearly ten years, a specialist in that field recommended that I see Dr. Ruffer. There was nothing left of me. I was stuck in the destruction caused by the ravage of addiction. For two years, Dr. Ruffer guided me through my own recovery. In a systematic way, she helped me peel away the layers and cut through the brush to find a clear path for myself. She pushed me to discover - me. I am forever indebted to the kind, compassionate, utterly dedicated, Dr. Pamela Ruffer.
Dr. Ruffer simply is the BEST. I initially went to her for my childhood trauma and have (finally!) over time been able to talk and cope with it. Not only has Dr. Ruffer taught me the tools to "deal" with it but also the tools to pull me back / ground me whenever I feel an anxiety attack start. Further, you can tell she absolutely loves her job. She is warm, friendly and most importantly - she cares for the well being of her clients. I will never be able to thank her enough for all she's done for me. The tools she has taught ... read more
I came to Dr. Ruffer in early 2020 during a very hard time in my life. At the time, I was facing several overlapping stressors; a recently ended abusive relationship, changing career paths, isolation from the onset of quarantine, and repressed guilt and anger from the death of my parents several years ago. I did not know how to begin my journey with therapy and doubted myself countlessly that things could ever get better. Dr. Ruffer opened the door and remained steadfast throughout. I give credit to Dr. Ruffer's experience a... read more

I've been seeing Dr. Ruffer for over 2 years. She diagnosed my depression (at first I didn't believe her) and then worked through my issues over time. She has a gentle yet firm personality. I'm in a much better place today because of her.
I sought out a person I needed at a time of crisis and Dr Ruffer was the perfect person to address the situation at hand. Her kind voice hides her lazar targeting to issues with a no nonsense approach and in my opinion a forgiving path to successful solutions . I highly recommend having a person to talk to for everyone and my choice is Dr. Ruffer
