Best low key restaurant around! – Has something for everyone! Even UCLA students on budgets can afford some items on this huge menu. Happy hour and after 10:00 appetizers 1/2 off. The service is phenomenal as is the food. I eat there at least twice a week and have never been disappointed with my food. Try the ten sage drink, its the best gin drink I've had in my life! Hands down, best restaurant to take friends (when you're not looking for la scene) or family!
Overrated!! – After a long week we were anticipating an evening of good food, drink, and good customer service. We sat down ordered & received our drinks, looked at the menu & figured out what we wanted. The next time the pretentious bartender walked by us he dropped off the tab and went to another customer. We were never asked if we wanted to order food, or another drink. Needless to say we finished our drinks went elsewhere. I will never go there again.
best kept secret – I've been looking for the best lounge in all of Los Angeles, and this is it by far. Sick of having to hustle and squeeze yourself to the front of the bar to get the bartenders attention? Sick of not having a place to sit? Poor service and even poorer food quality! – Went to Palomino for a quick business lunch with a colleague -- ordered the fresh fish, companion ordered salad/sandwich combo. Ordered sparkling water, waiter poured it into a dirty glass (lipstick on the rim) -- when asked for a replacement, he brought an empty glass -- apparently forgetting that he had dumped out the contents of my bottled water! Yummy! – This place is worth going to. The service was good, the food was good, the ambience was nice. You can sign up on their website and when your birthday comes, they'll send you an email and you can get $10-$50 off your total bill depending on how many friends you bring with you to dinner. And they give a free dessert to the birthday boy/girl. Some dishes to try: bruschetta samples, artichoke & ricotta ravioli, chicken picatta, and of course, dessert!!
