Best prices after 10pm – I've strangely never heard of this place (though it's walking distance from my apartment) until my friends took me out here for my birthday. They have this awesome deal where appetizers and certain drinks are half-off after 10:00pm... We ordered about 9 appetizers and 3 drinks and it came out to $90, which is really cheap! Our favorites were the calamari, their thin crust pizzas, the garlic peppered chicken. I ordered the mango mojito (which wasn't half-off), which was not too strong, but perfectly s... read more

Totally Overrated – After listening to tons of raves about Palomino, I took my boyfriend there for dinner one night.. There was a long wait to be seated (twenty minutes) and an even longer wait for our food. He got a seafood dish that was good but not great; I got a bowl of plain spaghetti drenched in oil, with unappealing chicken shreds thrown on top. The guy at the next table even leaned over and asked how our meals were, complaining that his was not that great! For the price and reviews, I was expecting more. I do not pla... read more

American comfort fare with a twist, in a snazzy Westwood setting. – In Short With magenta-and-tangerine taffeta curtains, potted palm trees and a bright blue Matisse reproduction, Palomino is all upscale Vegas-style glitz. The bold decor fits well with the bustling room, full of aspiring "it girls," studly UCLA docs in scrubs and old-school Holmby Hills residents sipping dry martinis. A winding bar frames a dining room with soaring ceilings. A predominately American menu with European-influences features items like paella, g... read more

Best Happy Hour anywhere! – They have the best happy hour in town! All the appetizers are 1/2 price and they are great. Grilled clams, crab and artichoke dip, grilled shrimp, etc. etc. They have wine (red and white) for $2.99/glass, awesome and not bad. They also have a version of a cosmo for $4.99, can't beat it. The environment is upscaled, lots of business types because they are in the heart of Westwood. Great place to meet up with friends or business colleagues and have a great time for not a lot of money

Best Happy Hour in Westwood – Hands-down you'll find the best Happy Hour here. A nice classy atmosphere and excellent crab and artichoke dip. If you sign up for their newsletter, they even send you a discount!

Good food but poor service – The food is solid but the service is poor. I had a decent size piece of plastic in my ravioli (which I almost choked on) and all they did was comp us a cup of coffee. All they had to do was apologize and at least offer to comp the ravioli...

Really good restaurant all the way around – My boyfriend and I tried this restaurant because we had received a $20 gift card. And I am so glad that we did. The atmosphere is nice - not too formal or casual. The menu is awesome..great selection. The food and drinks are not ridiculously overpriced. Draft beer was $4.75..appetizers under 10 bucks..entrees for about 20. My boyfriend had the asiago crusted scallops, and could not say enough good things about them. He ended by saying that it was probably the best plate of food he'... read more

Great Happy Hour for food and drinks. – Our powercouple adventure landed us in the middle of Westwood to enjoy the popular Palomino's happy hour. We had the dungeoness crab artichoke dip, calamari, and salmon gravlax. The gravlax is new and it needs more toasted bread served with it. The calamari is plentiful with aioli and a tomato-based sauce. On past visits, the pizza was sub-par. The mojito drinks are highly recommended.

Good food, great wait staff – A good place for a nice sitdown dinner. The food was served quickly. The waitress recommended the mojitos...and she was right...they were great! A good value for the money. The only slightly negative thing is that the decor was a little strange.
