We are so grateful to have such an amaxing state park! The amenities are great, the texas show was amazing, and the park hosts were so nice! There's water and electricity access to campsite, but make sure to bring lots of water to drink! The wildlife is so alive in this state park. On our first night we saw a deer, following days a wood pecker racoon, prairie dog, different kinds of birds and of course the road runner!! We loved it and we'll definitely be coming back!! :)
The musical was outstanding. Great weekend outing. Canyon is a neat town also
We did drive around some but came here to see the musical "Texas". This is a great show. Would recommend the show to all ages.
Such a Texas gem. Loved watching the Texas Show outdoor musical theater with my family last night. I give the show & this stunningly majestic National park 5 stars. Wildlife & Scenic beauty everywhere. Second largest Canyon in U.S.
We are so glad we made the trip to the canyon! The views were amazing no matter where we looked. Everyone in our group of 9 enjoyed it- ages 6-86! We will be back in the summer to watch show.
My 13, 11, and twin 8 year olds loved hiking trails and climbing around rocks. Beautiful scenery! Great horseback riding too!
Just an amazing place to visit. Imagine driving for hours and hours seeing nothing but flat farmland as far as the eye can see. All of a sudden you come up to a sign that says Palo Duro Canyon State Park ahead. When you enter the park the ground just opens up into the second largest canyon in the United States. Worth the visit.
it is gorgeous- very well maintained. Bring food and drinks because there is not much out here.
There are so many ways to enjoy this wonderful place that's in our backyard. Drive it, bike it, hike it! Take food, buy food at the Trading Post or cook your own on one of the park's grills. The staff offer great events like the guided hike to the old art camp last weekend (Jan. 27, 2018). Check out the visitor center for a quick history of the Canyon. Enjoy the views and visiting with all the other great folks you'll meet throughout the park.
