It is a great park camp I would go back .
They knowingly endangered thousands of people with a fireworks show during a burn ban. Catching the canyon of fire. They said it's ok happens all the time. This is not the right mindset when it comes to people's saftey.
Great, worth of 8 hrs of drive from San Antonio. It’s a hidden gem I must say as until the parks comes very close you don’t guess what you are going to see. Lighthouse trail is must do, and worth of your 4+ hours of walk and hiking. We enjoyed, and feel great that we had been at “Palo Duro”.
Beautiful place and such amazing view. Great hiking trails and the trading post have ice cream!!! Perfect after a hike in the Texas heat. Visited twice with my troop and loved it each Time.

We stayed in our 5th wheel in the Juniper Campground. We enjoyed hiking many trails...so peaceful & quiet. The park is beautiful and well maintained and worth the stop.
