Amazing place! My wife surprised me last year for my birthday to Palo Dura! This year we are taking the kids! So excited!
Truly Texas' biggest treasure...sorry Alamo! And if you want the best experience possible, go during the summer to see it and the musical "Texas". Beyond spectacular!!!!
Beautiful park with a long & super interesting history. Would have loved to spent more time there but a pending storm compelled us to get to higher ground. We will return.
My husband & I really enjoyed camping at Palo Duro Canyon State Park. We had a pull through campsite which was perfect for our size RV. We only stayed one night , we are on our way to the Sequoias from near Memphis, TN. Wish we had more time , but we were able to get out & walk a few trails. We loved seeing the canyons & the wildlife. My favorite was the roadrunners, what a funny bird!!! If you are visiting in the summer months be prepared for the dry heat. Wow, was it hot. Bring plenty of water. It was worth the visit!!!
Absolutely fabulous place to go!!! Top notch entertainment for the whole family and the tribute to veterans with fireworks was the type of patriotic event we need to expose our young people to!!!!
Sick park nice trails and the views are spectacular
Awesome park! Very surprising to see such a spectacular Canyon in Texas!! We will come back for sure. Make sure you reserve for camping ahead of time though! We did not and were told it was full but we camped right next door at the zip line center which offer spectacular views as well.
