Never again – My first experience was with the lunch buffet. The food was ok but nothing great, definitely not as spicy as it should have been. Service was slow and we had to wait for several items on the buffet to be refilled. To top off our less than stellar experience the manager came over to reprimand us for wasting food because of a very small portion remaining on our plate. Also, they automatically include gratuity. Definitely not what I hoped for and I will never return.
Clean and Tasty A great decor, nice ambiance, and clean. The food is authentic North Indian. They also have a buffet on the weekends. The prices are high for food that is nothing special than any high-end Indian restaurant. If you had a choice between this restaurant and Cafe Spice, I'd recommend the Palace.
Beautiful Indian Restaurant Palace at the Ben is a beautifully decorated Indian restaurant in the heart of center city. The food is delicious. The buffet is usually nice spread of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes and they bring fresh, hot naan to your table.
Beautiful place with its ornate dinning room and lounges Beautiful place with its ornate dinning room and lounges, embellished with intricate designs, when you go here you immerse yourself in the ambiance of rich Indian culture and traditions while relishing the cuisine.
Not again I was here for lunch last Winter after being invited by some friends. The food was mainly Asian (India). I didn't care for it at all but that is just my taste. They had a wide range of Indian and Thai foods for both vegetarian and meat lovers. Prices were high too but you would expect at a Hotel Restaurant.
Best Indian in Philadelphia – Absolutely phenomenal. This is the best Indian food I have had in Philadelphia. Came here with my fiance on a Tuesday night. We ordered the malai kebab on a sizzling plate and the chicken cashmere and lamb biryani. Food was cooked to perfection. Even the cocktail rangpur rose was awesome. This restaurant is much better than the neighbouring Indian restaurants. Beautiful ambience.
Fans of Indian fare have a new venue in which to dress up and get their tandoori on in this stylish newbie at the base of the Benjamin Franklin House. – In Short Finally, Indian fare goes upscale in Philly with this Ben Franklin House stunner where Chef Subhash Sarpal cooks up a heady mélange of classic Indian cuisine that's winning fans by the score. But the real star here is the space that fuses classic Indian touches with an up-market modern sensibility, making it a good place to stop for cocktails and a bite or just dive... read more
FOOD IS DELICIOUS!! Staff is friendly! Great Restaurant! – The food is excellent!! Quite possibly some of the best Indian food I've had at any restaurant! The staff was great! I would definately recommend this place to others.
Delectable Indian cuisine meets 5-star accomodations! – When most think of Indian restaurants, buffets, lines, waitstaff with limited English and cheap prices come to mind. However, Palace at the Ben completely breaks that mold with hands-down, the best Indian cuisine experience in Philadelphia (or I would venture to say... the Northeast...) I was privledged enough to host an event at the Palace this past weekend and everything at this restaurant was nothing short of perfect. Ryan, the GM, was accomodating, professional and ... read more
