Wonderful baked goods, sub-par service I agree with the other ratings that the Paddy cake has WONDERFUL baked goods, but terrible service. They do seem to employ some extremely rude people, especially the older women who work the counter. One older woman in particular loves to bark at customers and berate the bakers in the back. There are definitely some friendly employees to be sure, but the meanness outweighs the friendliness for me.
wedding cake Best Ever! Would change date of wedding to make sure they were the bakery to deliver. Great customer service and not one issue on this special day. Take your time and do a taste test. We had several tiers with different flavors. All were good!
TERRIBLE SERVICE BUT GREAT FOOD they have good food but bad service. i called numerous times a day for several days to order a cake and was just left on hold forever each time. i had to finally go there to order it. other times ive been there and some of their workers lack personality but as i said their food is really good so i guess its worth it.
I've gone out of my way to stop here This has always been one of my favorite bakeries. If I am somewhat near the area, I will stop here. Their baked goods are always fresh and there is lots to choose from. Try their pumpkin roll (in season), it's the smoothest and creamiest I've ever had. Or, if you're choosing your wedding cake, you can't go wrong with their white batter with raspberry filling - it's out of this world!
sweets Slooooow Service- Do not expect to stop in for a quick doughnut or cake take back to office. Behind counter ladies chatted away while a line of 5 patiently waited. Older lady would not make eye contact with me and no smiling at all. Love the Stuff they produce, but don't need the attitude!
WOW WOW...After hearing about all the bad it so far outweights the good... I would suggest the managment improves before they go out of business.... One bad comment outweight 100 good comments......People need to realize customers should be treated with respect, without customers theres no business or money...
Quality Is Not Just The Product! The Paddy Cake Bakery has unbelievable baked goods e.g. breads, cookies and cakes! I have always gone out of my way to stop in 'Little Italy of Pittsburgh' and pick up a few items for family and friends. NEVER EVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!! Their Customer Service is TERRIBLE. Do NOT go here to get your wedding cake Before we even showed up for our disappointing cake tasting, it was nearly impossible to get an appointment. Three times I got put on hold over the phone, then forgotten about. They're not open on Sundays or evenings, making it impossible for a working couple to make an appointment, plus their "wedding coordinator" isn't available every day. My favorite Bakery I have been getting cakes from this bakery for as long as I can remember and I am still willing to drive the whole way across town just to pick up one of their delicious birthday cakes any time I throw a party. This is the kind of cake you are willing to drive an hour for!
