Shame shame shame on you......sad when an animal in need is turned away....all because of the mighty buck. You should have so many hours that can be donated in situations such as in the case of the suffering kitty. Sad, it appears the whole veterinary industry cares about 1 thing only... $$$$$. What happened to compassion.????
I realize that vet offices have bills to pay as do the rest of us. However, and with that being said, it is unexcusable to turn away a pet that is so obviously in need of medical attention. Thankfully she did not die alone and had someone that cared about her with her. Fernando should not be suspended, but fired and the death of Oakley should weigh heavily on his conscious forever. How many other animals have you turned away and have died because there's no money up front?? Disgusting!!!!
This facility needs to take a good look at their employee's and policies regarding compassion and life. The way that cat and the lady trying to help it were handled was in excusable. I have been a part of the Veterinary field for over 30 years and honestly, a little time, compassion and if warranted humane Euthanasia cost so little. I know it does. You may not fully bounce back from this unless you do some serious intervention
Friendly service!!! They treat your pets as if it was theirs too!!!!!! Fernando is always concerned about my dogs. He really cares for animals. It looks that for him it's not just a job. He really loves animals!!!!
Shame on you Pacoima Pet Clinic. I hope you think twice before sending injured animals away next time.
