Nice location on the water, food was good. Cocktails...eeehhhh not so much. The Oyster chowder was really good, definitely would have that again. I think the restaurant that is that pricey, needs to have a little more class. They couldn't handle all the patrons, forgetting the simple stuff, like extra plates, ketchup, etc. Restaurant needs to be updated.

This used to be one of the best places in Olympia, but no more. The prices on the menu do not reflect those on the website. The food wasn't as great as it once was- definitely not worth the money. We went for my birthday lunch so I'd hoped for a good dessert at least- but the mud pie was the worst I've ever had. The waiter, although nice enough, never refilled my water, so another sitting at our table gave me theirs. Until this place is under different management, I won't be back.

We (4 of us) just showed up for lunch around 1 pm on Thursday, July 6, and were able to sit outside--weather was wonderful and each of our meals (fried oysters, halibut, grilled chicken sandwich and potato skins) were all very good. Perhaps we were lucky that day but we were very satisfied with the food quality & service! The cost is a big higher but then we had fabulous front row seats for the port on a gorgeous day so it was well worth it!

We had an excellent anniversary luncheon at the Oyster House. We shared the oysters on the half shell in cognac butter with spinach and bacon, and they were wonderful. Our entrees, the crab cakes and the sautéed scallops, were fresh and beautifully cooked. The Bandin margarita is a terrific cocktail - freshly juiced strawberries with basil garnish - refreshing! Our server, Jake, was attentive and very pleasant. This was not our first trip to the Oyster House, and it certainly won't be our last!

Oysters were overcooked and the coleslaw sucked, not to mention the serving size on the coleslaw was tiny. And why the hell close from two to five? They turned away at least a dozen customers from about 1:50 until we finished our cigars @2:30. That's a lot of money.
