Service was impeccable and nailed the Ma-and-Pa atmosphere. Food is a bit overpowering, particularly the coconut shrimp, worth the price of that's what you like. I did not eat my shrimp entree because it was overlooked, over-breaded and not warm; wished I had went to Applebee's instead. Also felt a bit claustrophobic by how crammed in the tables were, probably to accommodate a growing seasonal crowd. Portion sizes are large which is good. Beautiful interior.
We had the prime rib special, topped with a applewood smoked bacon and wild mushroom reduction with fried oysters. It was the best prime rib I've ever tasted. The atmosphere is warm and the service was excellent. Don't miss this fantastic restaurant if you're on the OBX.

Vicki & I celebrated our 35th anniversary here. The food was outstanding and the service matched the food. I had the Bouillabaisse and Vicki had the Crab Remick and we shared a Crab Dip appetizer. When Bouillabaisse is offered on the menu this is always my choice. Owen's was the best I have ever had! Thanks for a great evening!
We celebrated our anniversary here May 21, 2016. The food and service was absolutely wonderful. Even though it was really busy, our server was extremely nice and attentive. We have eaten here before, and I highly recommend it to visitors and locals.
