As always the experience was awesome, the rock fish I had was in a wonderful presentation, but in the end it is always the people there who go out of their way to make sure you know they appreciate your choosing to be in their restaurant!
If you are new to the OBX or if you have just never been down to MP 16.5 in Nags Head, you need to try this dining experience. I think my first visit was years ago when my parents took our family. I come now whenever I can to experience an awesome dinner. Dinner is always delicious, and the staff is awesome as well. Great food, beautiful decor, and friendly staff. What more do you need? They have been in business for 70 years. Great dinner last night.

Every one was saying,"You HAVE to eat at Owen's before you leave Nags Head",so..., $38 for a plate of fried shrimp,,baked potato was dry,coleslaw horrible, NO SWEET TEA (now that should be against the LAW),,supposedly fresh baked bread was stake & hard,so my FIRST visit will probably be my last, ,,over priced & not so good.,But they have been here since 1947,so something must have changed,I don't know

Nancy, we are very sorry you did not enjoy your dinner with us. We saw you ordered our fried shrimp and requested to have oysters served with your shrimp, which we were more than happy to do. It was surprising because we cannot ever recall a complaint about our shrimp or oysters. Our shrimp are hand delivered to us from local North Carolina waters almost daily. We LOVED our dinner! Scallops that melt in your mouth and done to perfection. All our seafood was perfect! The best dinner we have had in a long time. Our server, Cody, was awesome! Thank you for a great dinner!

had dinner there recently. I was expecting a good dinner, but no. The scallops wewe fried in an off tasting oil and were rubbery. My salmon was dry. worst yet the price, extremely pricey for food that was not good.
