Horrible time at the er yesterday..the nurse practitioner was rude and made an assumption. They did nothing as far as tests or anything to figure out what was wrong ( my doctor sent me to the emergency room). I will not be going back to osf for treatment ever again. Very disappointed.
They lost my drivers license and insurance information, never updated my address or phone number, never submitted the claim to my insurance so I never received a bill, then they sent me to collections for not paying the bill I never received. To their credit they did remove it from collections but are doing little to atone for a $650 bill that should have only been $40 had my insurance been properly billed. Some bureocratic pencil pusher has decided that it is more cost effective to have only 1 Dr in the ER at night. Thus wait times are 6-7 hours because they are down 4 rooms due to construction. Dr and nursing staff are excellent but it makes it difficult when they have a trauma cme in and no one to call in to help.
I've worked in healthcare for 10 years now at multiple top institutions from coast to coast. St. Anthony's was the first hospital where a physician made fun of a patient's family member right outside their door within ear shot and eyesight. Terribly unprofessional and insensitive. If you are going to do that it would be wise to keep it behind closed doors where the already upset family member cannot hear you.
Just had my son September 9 , 2015 & this is THE BEST hospital ever !! I've never felt more at home & comfortable in a hospital & I HATE hospitals !! But most of all , they saved my son ! Long story short , he was born without an heartbeat & they were able to save his life after several minutes of him not breathing !!! They were amazing ! I dont know what I would've done without the staff !!
That was the WORST service I have ever received from them. I always go there but they were no better the RMH. I wanted 6 hours for nothing!!!
I was just recently here for an illness and had to stay there for a couple of days. All the staff were very nice and so were the doctors. Really enjoyed my stay there.
