One year ago, I was in the hospital for a major back surgery. It was to fix an impingement against my spinal cord within a couple of spinal disks in my lower back which resulted in painful sensations down my left leg. The pain had been going on for several years, getting worse with time, and was by that time debilitating. Dr. James Kurian did a awesome surgery on my reverse shoulder replacement -- I after 8 months can hardly see a scar at the surgery sight -- He and his staff took very great care of me not only at his office but at the Providence Saint Vincent Hospital -- He has a great since of humor , which really helped while going through something so trumatic -- Dr. James Kurian told me he would give the Tesla Version for the replacement -- we had a good laugh about that before going in to surgery -- when he came out to let my husband kn... read more
I had a dislocated rotator cuff that Dr Butler was able to reconnect essentially as good as new (for a 54 year old accountant)! Not only was the Surgeon highly effective, he also was a really good communicator helping me understand the process and asking many questions throughout the rehab process. His team was very accommodating and helpful as well. Their surgery center is as good as it gets, right there on premises with the best equipment available. I can’t believe how long you have to wait to see a doctor when you’ve an appointment. My time is of value. I waited a hour to see my doctor.
This is a very modern facility with on-site X-Ray, MRI and physical therapy equipment. The only issue I have is that it can get pretty busy at times and you're Dr. may be late for your appt.
Dr. Okereke and her nurse Joy are amazing! Joy has the best personality and sense of humor..Joy had me laughing so hard I had tears!! And Dr. Okereke is the most caring and compassionate doctor I've never met!
