Censoring the Arts is a slippery slope. I'm so disappointed.
I will not darken your doors again. Bowing to be PC and entertain censorship with Gone with the is ridiculous. You should be ashamed. You now offend me!!
We had planned all month to attend the Rocky Horror Picture Show tonight, but the COWARDICE and ignorance in denouncing Gone With The Wind as being "offensive" has caused the entire group to decide NOT to attend ANY upcoming events at this venue.
Would have been 5 stars if we weren't packed in like sardines! I honestly had to hug the people on either side of me (one of which I didn't know) just to have somewhere to put my arms.

The decision to no longer include "Gone With the Wind" is so egregious in its reasoning that I can scarcely comprehend the lack of wisdom which resulted in that decision. The story is set in the Civil War era...and...by necessity...must properly represent that era...both good and bad. What is next? Will we now demand that any telling of the struggles of World War 2 must not include any mention of the Nazis? Well for the last couple of years I have had a wonderful time seeing GWTW as a back to school event. Hope the perpetually offended will buy as many tickets as newly offended did...
We went to see a Classic Movie. The atmosphere was electric, the people were hyped, the Staff was curtious. A roar went up when the show started! It was not our first visit and we do plan to come again.
If what I am hearing is correct and Gone With The Wind is removed from the summer movie list, NEVER again will I darken the doors of the Orpheum. I will never contribute again to ANY fund raiser for the Orpheum and I will actively and loudly make it clear to everyone I know how I feel and why.
