Went there Saturday night to watch LSU beat MsSt and ordered a shrimp po-boy on French bread followed by a plate of fried lake crab claws - DELICIOUS! So glad I found this restaurant after moving to Hammond from New Orleans. They have really good red beans on Monday & their roast beef po-boy on French bread is to die for!!! Thanks Chookie's!!!

Well that is vague. Could you please be more specific as to what it is they put in your food? I'm curious because I eat there all the time and never had a problem. You do know that unsubstantiated claims against a business on social media is considered libel right?

I love the food and have eaten there regularly on my visits home.
Went there this week and the roast beef is not sliced like it is from a deli it is shredded (we call it REAL roast beef). The boiled shrimp are also very good. The best hush puppies around too.
