Great View On Nov 5, 2008 , I stop in with my brother and his wife and my husband as the last night of our trip back home to Maine. It was the view. The food was great and the service was the best. I would recommend this place to others that are traveling to stop in to have cocktail or just to relax and eating to enjoy the view on the deck.
Great Restaurant! I love the OC Mining Company. I have been there countless times and I always recieve great service and great food at a good price. They have the worlds best salad bar, and for steak lovers, the steaks are always done to your liking. I like the fact that children are welcome. We can bring our two young girls and not feel out of place. It is as casual or formal as you want it to be, which as a native So. Cal girl, that is just how I like it to be. Go Elsewhere I have given this restaurant three tries and have never left there satisfied with the value. If you want to enjoy a great dinner and see the views of OC, move up the hill a few yards and try the Orange Hill restaurant.
Great old time restaurant Orange County Mining Company is located at an old silver mine from the 1800s. The food is served in pie tins and the drinks are in mason jars. Great concept.
Great view, mediocre food We went for restaurant week - I was less than impressed. The view was fantastic - by far the best part of the experience. Drinks were also good (i.e.strong). The salad bar and soup was great, but for the price tag on our meals we could have gotten comparable sides in the freezer section at Fresh and Easy. The fish was good but portions were tiny - maybe due to the restaurant week deals. It was worth checking out but I don't feel the need to return.
Nice location. Been to this place on many occasions. Would highly recommend going here on a date or just to hang out with some friends. As far as the food goes, it was average.
RecommendedNeed to work on the “pull out of the box rib eye” not the same steaks I had years ago. However Jason was “Johnny on the spot”. Don’t lose that guy. He treated us like GOLD. That guy is going places. 👍🤠 — with Courtney Lee Sampson.
