The reception staff is extremely unresponsive to phone and email. When I asked them a very specific question about the treatment options provided, they simply told me "it will be discussed at your appointment." When I pressed further on this, I was given a wholly inaccurate answer. This wasted so much time. Instead of just giving BS deflective answers like "it will be discussed at your appointment," ask the doctors when a patient has a specific question! Dr. Pruitt was Awesome. No pain, and he was fast
Dr. Schlieve and staff provided excellent care and guidance. Scheduling can be a little challenging in the UTSW system in general, but once you're in the clinic, you know you're in good hands.
I am a long time patient of UTSW Oral and Maxillofacial Clinic that, until 12/26/24, had positive experiences. I arrived foe a hygiene appointment on 12/26/24 with the new hygienist, and at first all seemed fine. She was very thorough, and I was sore for several days afterwards, which is not uncommon for me. Anyway, I paid for the cleaning on 12/26 and left; however, approximately 5 days later I got billed an exorbitant amount under her provider name.....without any explanation. Had to call about my referral because they didn't reach out. The staff on the phone was not very helpful with my questions. I asked for an appointment on a Fri and it was almost two months out, so I asked about the earliest available Wednesday. She didn't want to look and said the doctor was booking out a ways. I had to ask if she had looked to see what the earliest Wednesday available was to get her to actually answer my question. I asked about financial assistance or payment plans.
