Just had surgery last week... Dr. Kunkel and his staff are professional, very pleasant, and know what they're doing... AWESOME!
I had to get all 4 wisdom teeth out and Dr. Kunkel did so with minimal pain after wards. He also called the night of to check that I was doing ok and the staff sent a get well card. I also had a follow up appointment the week following. Dr. Kunkel and his staff truly made me feel comfortable and helped me through the recovery process.
Wow. I thought having a tooth extracted would be incredibly painful. It's day 2 and I'm on the upswing! :) I slept through the night yesterday, and today has been fairly pain free with ibuprophen, and a little percocet. :) Thanks, Dr. Kunkel and staff!
I recently had the first of several appointments in a series that will end in 2 dental implants. The first appt involved an extraction and bone grafts. I was amazed how painless the procedure was. I was also very impressed with not only Dr. Kunkel but his staff. The office asstants and surgery staff were top notch, making me feel more comfortable and relaxed than I thought it was possible to be. I highly recommend this office
If you have an extreme tooth issue, this is the place to go. Patient was my daughter (8). She had an inverted extra tooth. The consultation removed any pre-concerns. The procedure went smoothly. The staff was pretty awesome. The dentist follows up afterwards, which is pretty huge. This is a dental office that specializes in hard tooth cases and may not have all the kid surrounding setup, but this dental practice does one heck of a job making sure your child is more than comfortable and safe. I had a major sinus lift and implant done and I have a very small mouth, my case was extremely complicated, but Dr. Kunkel was very thorough and gentle and worked very hard to make me feel comfortable and got the procedure done very well. I highly recommend Dr. Kunkel. His staff is extremely friendly, very helpful and very organized. This can be a nerve wracking experience but the whole team made me feel very at ease.

Dr. Kunkel and his staff at Pikes Peak Oral Surgery are amazing. My daughter had to have oral surgery. Dr. Kunkel met with our family up front and made us feel at ease.
