I typically don't do online reviews, but Dr. Kunkel and his staff were simply outstanding! I was very anxious going in for my visit, but I quickly realized that my anxiety was not needed. One of the practices that was most appreciated was the fact that he did nothing during my procedure before first explaining to me what he was doing, when he would do it, and how it would likely feel (i.e. pressures, sounds, etc). Dr. Kunkel and his staff were absolutely the most efficient, expedient and exercised extremely good care of me in my situation. I am totally impressed with their empathy, caring, and explaining every action they took to relieving my pain, removing the #14 broken molar and root and the after care. It was all painless and unbelievably fast. I called the COS VA Dental Clinic as I am a 100% disabled veteran and had an appointment 2.5 weeks later to be checked out. one of the best doctors i have seen in my life. very professional and kind staff.
Probably the best dental experience I have ever had. Everything was explained prior to surgery. Just a little discomfort at first. (but come on now, it is a needle) After that it was smooth sailing. I would like to thank Dr. Kunkel and his Staff for making me feel comfortable during the whole experience. If you need Dental done, this is your place!!
Was recommended Dr. Kunkel through my dentist, Dr. Kilcoyne and couldn't be any happier with his work! Just got a double bone graft and he helped me every step of the way. I was very interested to know the process and had questions and he answered all of them so kindly. He is honest and caring and a great oral surgeon to have. I go back for my posting in a few months and can't wait to continue the process of implants with him!
I recently had to have a wisdom tooth removed that was infected and compacted. In my lifetime I have had 2 other OS tell me that they would not touch my teeth due to the nerve placement. I was very nervous due to the past OS I have met with telling me that if my nerve was damaged it would never come back due to my age.
