my husband and I had appointments today at 1:30 and 2:00. They are running so far behind, I didn't get in the bus until 2:15. My husband waited until 3:00 then they let someone with a later appointment in before him so we left without him donating. And don't try to say 'because COVID' because that's not it. The problem is the staff having absolutely no urgency and taking breaks to eat pizza while there is noone in chairs donating. Then not even attempting to keep people in order of appointment. RecommendedYou have the most wonderful staff! We donated today in Greensboro at Red Robin! We travelled 45 minutes to donate and when we arrived they were booked solid. The staff worked diligently to work us in. The staff was very polite and friendly! The staff also kept a check on my child who was unable to donate. Thank you!!
I had made an appointment to donate blood today. I went in the morning but I was not allowed to because the staff people said I had visited Peru on February 2019 for two weeks and, because of hypothetical malaria concerns, if I wanted to donate I had to wait 3 years (until February 2022). However, I think that this is is in error because the oneblood FAQ explicitly states that the international malaria deferral policy is only for 3 months, not 3 years. If you ever need medical help after a donation they say they will take care of you that is a lie. Would not donate again.
I will say that the staff at the bus are nice. They are not the problem. The problem is the call center. When I called, I was having trouble logging in to my account. The first time I called, I was left on hold for 15 minutes. The second time I called, in mid sentence as I was explaining my situation, the lady hung up on me. For the most part my experience while there was good but when I got ready to leave I got so sick. They did not offer juice and cookies and I don't know if that played a part but my blood pressure dropped so bad that I had to practically drag myself in the house. Maybe someone should look into whether that or something else is a factor in the process and inform the patrons so that they're safe when they leave. I'm glad I didn't have an accident or something worse.

My son and i both stopped in to donate blood. The bus was so clean. The service was incredible. Jazzlee Cruz drew our blood and it was next to painless. We will definitely go donate again with them!
