I received an emergency text that they were in need of my blood. I went to donate and was denied bc I had my child with me. Mind you, I am fully vaccinated and my child is special needs. I am a single mother so my child comes with me everywhere and has never been an issue before now. I was told because of Covid. I will never use this company again. RecommendedI just wanted to leave some positive feedback regarding my whole blood donation today at the Palm Harbor OneBlood donor center on US 19 and Nebraska Avenue. I had a great experience. Everyone was polite, professional and friendly. I want to especially thank my phlebotomist Clee for doing such a great job. He was so positive and personable. Though blood donation is given by volunteers who I imagine are not nervous to give blood, had I been nervous, Clee certainly would have put my mind at ease. I still have not received my $25 for donating on May 1. I put in my code and it says this donation is not eligible for online redemption on the one blood site. I have received no email regarding my gift card. Help please. Otherwise, I have no complaints! This is the first issue I have had. I guess from now on I go to a bus rather than the main location at St. Charles Plaza in Davenport.
I Stop once more to donate blood today, they refused to take my blood due to the fact that I had travel outside of the country in the past year. So far so good, it is understandable for the safe of patients who needs blood. When ask if they could test for cobid antibody, they said they only do if you donate blood. So it is not anout peoples health, it about them make their mony with my O type blood.
Sabrina and Chenet were amazing today. I donated in Marathon, FL. I had an appointment for 1:30 to do a double red blood cell donation. I got there early and they were busy. 2 in the chair 3 waiting including me. They handled the flow like it was nothing and shuffled us around inside like it was a ballroom dance floor. I have donated in Central Florida before and there was so much confusion when you came in. Not here. Sabrina prepped me and stuck me first time no hunting for the vein. Increíblemente, el único One Blood en Hialeah y no tiene una persona que hable Español y el único día que mi esposo puede ir es el Domingo, hizo su cita y cuando llegamos , no había nadie que pudiera atenderlo en Español y le cancelaron la cita . Es inadmisible !!En las últimas veces que el fue, pues necesita Donar frecuentemente, en esta locación de 18516 NW en Miami Gardens siempre hubo alguien en Español . No puedo recomendar este lugar por esto !
Shame on you!!!! On vacation in Fernandina with TWO willing donors BOTH with O blood that made an effort to stop and donate....turned away for no appointment. Not like folks are beating down your door to donate!!!!!
